The Spark: Chapter 1
I don’t have clients yet and that is okay. Right now, I am focusing on building, learning and creating with a heart.
I’m turning thirty and instead of waiting, here I am choosing to chase the spark that gave me joy.
There’s something both terrifying and freeing about starting over. While some people find their path in their twenties, mine felt like a blur of figuring things out, trying to be what I thought I was supposed to be. But deep down, something quieter kept tugging at me.
That’s the spark. And I’ve decided to follow it.
Photography started as curiosity. Then it became a way to express myself. Now it’s the thing I’m building my life around. Even if I’m starting from scratch. Even if I’m late to the game. Even if no one’s paying attention yet.
Below is a mirror shot I took during a late-afternoon practice session. In the glass, I’m holding my camera so that it covers my face, and through the viewfinder, you can see my eyes—focused, curious, and ready to chase that spark.
Soft dawn wakes the silent air
A single beam cuts through the gray
It dances on the edges of promise
And beckons me to find my way
Fingers of gold brush open doors
Revealing shadows’ hidden song
In every flicker, I remember
This is where I truly belong
A furtive pulse beneath my ribs
A tether to what’s yet unseen
I lift the lens, heart unguarded
And chase the quiet, trembling gleam
This blog is where I’ll document the journey.
The behind-the-scenes. The small wins. The lessons. The art. The people.
Maybe someday I’ll look back and smile at how far I’ve come.
But right now, I’m here. Heart open. Lens ready. Following the spark.
Thank you for being here. If you’re on a similar path, turning thirty, starting something new, or seeking your own spark, drop a comment or send me a message. Let’s share these moments.
